IT IS NEVER FINISHED.
Holly, Nick, and Melissa digress across the world this week, from iPads and Zotero to pickled beets and virtue signaling. What is a barista doctor? Is Hay Day a game for the people? Nick joins a queer rugby league and heals. Holly defines a girl who does it. Melissa yawns in a mega way and discusses her upcoming move. (If you’re listening on the day of release, Melissa is somewhere in West Virginia.) Consider this: creative outlets for you and not for profit. Consider!
That's a wrap on season 1! Thanks for listening. We'll be back soon for a second season, and in the meantime, don’t forget to submit those confessions!
Thank you for listening queenifers!

SPEAKER_05I did just buy shit ton of produce at Trader Joe's today, which apparently is like on the no, not Mark Safe. Oh look. Well, it's not Mark Safe from the Taylor's Farms list. Yeah, Taylor's Farms. Apparently, I don't know. I saw a risk a wrist, a list floating around Instagram and um Trader Joe, it just said Trader Joe's fresh produce, but it was also like a screenshot of like a threads post. So I don't know.
SPEAKER_06There's a lot of misinformation out there. Correct.
SPEAKER_05I don't know how verifiable that is, but it's crazy. I can't just not eat produce. Sorry.
SPEAKER_01No, that's right.
SPEAKER_04What am I supposed to eat? I had some cooked carrots last night. They hit crazy.
SPEAKER_05I love like a baked carrot. Delicious. So yummy.
SPEAKER_00My friend Bridget has uh she's been growing radishes in her garden. I hate radishes. Love radishes. And she pickled them.
SPEAKER_06Ooh, yummy. I hate vegetables.
SPEAKER_00So good. I was like, so I've gone over to her house thing like two or three times in the last two weeks. Um, and I have just been like, I enter the door and I'm like, hey, do you have those radishes?
SPEAKER_05Love that. Yummy.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_00They're really good. But of course, when you like open the jar, it smells like a toot, but honestly, it's okay. It's okay. Some veggies smell like a toot.
SPEAKER_04Welcome back to Deckass and Confess. Welcome back to our podcast.
SPEAKER_00Where we talk about radish toots.
SPEAKER_04This is the last in-person episode for the three of us. Yeah. For a long time.
SPEAKER_00For some time.
SPEAKER_04Are we not going to record next week? No. Because you've got to be packing. Yeah. Because I'm going to leave like two days.
SPEAKER_00After that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I'm not going to be in a place of recording.
SPEAKER_00Not in a place of podding. So this is our 20th episode.
SPEAKER_04Wow. We've been receiving, we've said this before, and we'll say it again. We've been receiving many fan questions if we're continuing the pod. Yes. I've actually been receiving a lot of questions about pe about this from people who don't listen to the pod. I'm like, well, you would know if you listen to the pod. Right. So you're fake.
SPEAKER_00Interestingly enough, fake fan.
SPEAKER_04Um if we're continuing, and yes, we are continuing. We'll just be remote. And then if it's Nick and Holly, then they can see each other in real life because they'll be close to each other.
SPEAKER_00We'll be here.
SPEAKER_05And Nick will, of course, be my only friend.
SPEAKER_00So we'll be getting coffee.
SPEAKER_05Coffee. Prepare to be sick of me.
SPEAKER_00Can't wait.
SPEAKER_05And I'll be alone. It's kind of funny because it's like, oh, will you be doing the pod? Like, will you continue with the pod? And it's sort of as like, well, the pod's gonna be the only thing the three of us have to live for and look forward to.
SPEAKER_00So why would you even ask that?
SPEAKER_04Why would you ask me that question?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's weird to ask that question.
SPEAKER_04So always free. Yeah in a place of free.
SPEAKER_00Um, except for Sunday at this time.
SPEAKER_04Except for Sunday at 2 p.m. Well, 3 p.m. now for me.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's crazy. Crazy.
SPEAKER_04I'll be in a different time zone than you guys. Same time zone as Raw Dog Friend of the Pope. Wow, you will. I'll be on the coolest time zone. But I will have all my shows will come out later. I'm like, I kind of like it when shows come out a little bit earlier for us. Yeah. Because I'm like, I'm tired.
SPEAKER_00Whoops.
SPEAKER_04So now I'll be on that Eastern Eastern time. Eastern time. Wow. So yeah, I'm feeling feeling a lot of feelings today. Loving you guys.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. That's weird. Four more days of work left. Four more days.
SPEAKER_04Of full-time work. And then you're trying to uh yeah, a week from yesterday will be my going away. My R lichard um our going away party. Crazy. Very crazy.
SPEAKER_05Decor delivered today.
SPEAKER_04Holly, of course, is in charge of decor.
SPEAKER_05Hijacking it, making it about me.
SPEAKER_04Of course, of course. I actually can't think of anything, so it's great for me. Holly is, for our listeners, the best at balloon arches and all decor. She's really like a genius at it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, a professional decorator.
SPEAKER_04Love to party plan. I am making trading cards of me and Jared. And then by request, I think I'm probably gonna make penny ones too. Well, yeah. And I think I'm gonna make it. It would be crazy if you didn't. I think I'm gonna make um a normal penny and an evil penny card. Oh good, yeah. When he is her evil twin. Of course. Oh yeah. When she's being bad, we're like Wenny. It's like Waluigi. So I think exactly I'm in a place of life changes. You really are. You really are.
SPEAKER_05Life is always happening.
SPEAKER_00It's always changing.
SPEAKER_04Life is always happy.
SPEAKER_00What is like one thing that you're excited about about this change?
SPEAKER_04I think I'm like actually like very excited to start the PhD, which sounds like duh. But like I'm excited that it's not just like in the future or whatever. Like I got to update my C. I think maybe I said this last time or in a different conversation with you guys, but like I updated my CV because I was like, oh, I'm not gonna need to update this. I'm not gonna do this until I start school again. And I it was like PhD expected. Like I got to add that to my thing. And then like I had a I updated my like email signature for my student. It was like a PhD student. Like it's just kind of like fun. Nice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05The program is now. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04So it's just kind of like fun to know that that's in progress. Um and I'm like excited to start research. I found there was an article that was written the other day that was like very much down my interest line that I haven't read yet due to stress, but I will be reading it. And what's it about? Yeah, philosophical about like brain health and aging and caregiving and stuff. And so all my kind of stuff.
SPEAKER_00Is that the one that you sent me?
SPEAKER_04I think so. Yeah. Yeah. But I haven't read it. I haven't either. But I did get an iPad for school, which I'm excited about. I'm playing Heyday with um Friend of the Pod Rachel, Enemy of the Pod Anna, and co-host Holly. We're all on heyday farming constantly.
SPEAKER_00So is um is that a call for me to also get an iPad and play heyday? Well, yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_04You should be.
SPEAKER_00I mean I mean, I also feel like I should start taking digital notes on an iPad, but yeah, I love taking notes on an iPad.
SPEAKER_05It's really nice to have that little Apple pencil and to be taking notes because the the technology is is here, okay? No smudging.
SPEAKER_04We remember the stylus days.
SPEAKER_00No, I remember, yeah. I'm still burned by that though.
SPEAKER_05Right. You can rest your hand on that iPad and write, and nothing happens. Nothing happens but the magic of note taking. Wow.
SPEAKER_04It's amazing. It is amazing. Zotero has, I mean, this is less relevant for you, but so well, maybe it's not. No, I forgot about it. Zotero, you can download their iPad app. Um, for our listeners and for Holly, uh, Zotero is an application, it's a citation manager, and so you can put research articles into it and they'll spit out like you laughed because you think I'm stupid and I would never get back.
SPEAKER_00You said you don't need it, you don't need to have a like a would Holly ever want to want to.
SPEAKER_05You didn't send me that article, so you think I'm dumb. You think I'm dumb.
SPEAKER_00You don't need a citation manager.
SPEAKER_05Like well, everyone knows I'm the dumbass of the pod. Of course. And I I think we're always I take that title with pride. It's literally not true. I don't say every episode.
SPEAKER_00I mean literally like what a dummy.
SPEAKER_05I'm making it about me. Sorry, continue what you were saying.
SPEAKER_02No, I was just saying it's a citation manager.
SPEAKER_04And so you can upload research articles into it and they'll split it out a bibliography if you do it right. I do it all, use it all the time at work. But if you have it on iPad, because you can link PDFs of the articles to those citations, you can annotate the PDFs in Zotero. Yeah, it's not a good idea. But like not just normal annotations on your computer, like you can write on it, like you printed it out. Yes. And I like to do that because I actually cut a lot of this from our last episode. Um, but it takes because I was just shooting the shit for too long. Sorry guys. Um such thing, no such thing on digressing back.
SPEAKER_00Thank you.
SPEAKER_04But when you're reading a read like an academic article, it should take you like quite a long time if you're reading it like in depth. And so it can be really nice to have it actually like printed and like annotating and stuff. And so yeah, I'm excited. But yeah, I think I'm just getting excited to start the PhD. I'm not excited for moving, I'm not excited for the stress of my life. Um I we're currently dealing in my home with a lot of medical things. Uh, but I did want to bring up something funny that me and a coworker love of my life, Rosa and I discussed at lunch last week because we were talking, she was talking about how me and my husband are gonna have to find new doctors in our new city. And we decided kind of uh if we if we want to pick it take a place of last call, kind of a rule of culture, we want our doctors to look like they could make a latte.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04We want them to be woke as hell. Of course. So if you look like you can make me a good fucking latte, I trust you as my doctor. I want you to be pierced, I want you to have colored hair, and it's very rare, but I want you to have tattoos, I want you to be able to throw down a latte at a moment's nice and diagnose me accordingly. Correct.
SPEAKER_05It's like um, it's like Caleb Heron saying that he had she they shooters. I want my doctor to be a she they shooter. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_04That's just something that we we figured out and I think is is good because I was saying that I found somebody who looks like just really, really gay and has like a safe space thing on their thing. I'm like, I want that person to be my doctor, like very health equity focused. Um, partially because I want a doctor who like believes in my values, but also partially because I think they'll probably just like treat me better. Probably.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's like part yeah, it's like a double-edged sword of like I would like shared values, but also I bet they're gonna like actually take me seriously when I'm like, hey, I'm breaking out in hives.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And they're not just like, Are you anxious, fat?
SPEAKER_05Hey fat. Have you tried exercise? Yeah. How many um servings of vegetables do you eat a day?
SPEAKER_00Do you drink water?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm not gonna get into it too much due to privacy, but my husband's been going through kind of a medical mystery, and it's been so crazy to see how people treat him. His doctor some doctors have still been assholes to him, to be clear, but everyone's taking him seriously. And like, listener, my husband is six feet tall, like I don't know, 130 pounds white guy. The way that doctors will order tests for him, no one has suggested therapy, no one suggested an SSRI, which just to be clear, I don't think is appropriate for the things he's experiencing. But I know if I went in there, yeah, I know if I went in there, I would have never gotten the MRIs he got. No, they would have given me a benzo and told me goodbye. Goodbye. So that's why I need a barista doctor. It's kind of like a it's kind of like I think that's the new um barber surgeon is barista doctor. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Well, and I would just like to say on a on a more serious note, I feel like sometimes, I don't know, this is probably something that only exists in like chronically online echo chambers and and whatnot. But that type of shit really does matter. Like little window signage and like, I don't know, wearing pins and like having signifiers that you are signifiers of your values, like it does matter. It does matter, and it is important when like medical providers or just providers of any kind do that therapists, psychiatrists, doctors of any kind. It fucking matters. And don't ever let people make you believe that it doesn't matter that it's like virtue signaling or that it's whatever, which I don't know. Maybe in in some cases it is virtue signaling, but I'd rather the virtue signal.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I'd rather you be virtuous. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Exactly. I'd rather you be virtuous, title of app, title of that, yeah. That's our title of that.
SPEAKER_04I do at our I work at a hospital right now, and um a couple years ago they came out with like because we have a badge, and then it has like basically at every hospital, I don't know if you notice, um, there'll be like the person's badge, and then below it it'll usually say their role so that you can kind of know who you're talking to essentially. So it'll say like doctor or psychologist or whoever they are. Those are the two types of people I work with the most. Mine says research, because I'm nothing that can help anyone. Um, but a couple years ago they came out with like an extra thing you could add to your badge that has pronouns. Yeah, but those are optional, they're not a required part of the badge. And yeah, I've noticed who's put them on and who hasn't. Of course, my entire team has them. Of course. I don't hire idiots. Um I don't hire rude people, and also I work in health equity, so that would be pretty crazy if you did that. But uh yeah, I notice around the hospital who has their pronouns and who has little pins. There are lots of doctors. My hospital is like a woke hospital, so that's great for me. But like there are lots of doctors. The woke spital. The woke spital, if you will. Um but there are a lot of doctors that have little like safe space pins. Yeah. I work with a psychologist and um like a bunch of different pins, and like uh uh and they work with kids too, and like their lanyard is rainbow and everything, and it's like it would be so nice to be a kid and like go in there and see that's the person who's giving you your care and be like, oh, they're actually gonna like listen to me and take care of me.
SPEAKER_00So and also like take you seriously.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Take me seriously.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaking of he days. He days.
SPEAKER_05We said she day shooters. Are you a misogynist? I thought you said I am, I feel like. Well, and I saw I thought I feel a penis. I feel a penis in this room.
SPEAKER_04I feel a penis in the room. And it's these three microphones. I thought you said he day, and I thought we were taking it to a place of heyday, and I said, babe, it's not he day, it's heyday.
SPEAKER_05We all are going to a place of heads. He day. Don't you just love us? Like, don't you love when we dog pile on you?
SPEAKER_00Makes you feel so loved.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, as the resident straight man.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, also speaking of dogpiling, I went to a rugby one-on-one session yesterday.
SPEAKER_04What does that even mean?
SPEAKER_00My body still hurts. What do you mean?
SPEAKER_04What do you mean, a rugby one-on-one session? Like somebody. I'm mishearing a lot. One-on-one. I was like, somebody just wrestle you?
SPEAKER_00Like, isn't that just called wrestling?
SPEAKER_04Like, oh, okay, rugby. Okay, sexy rugby. That's what I said. I said my man some mouth.
SPEAKER_00I said, I gotta go. I know where I belong. Yeah. No, I went when I was at Pride this year. Um, I walked past a booth and first of all, ran into an ex, LOL, and his husband. And um yeah, we just like got to chatting, and of course, it was at this booth. It was uh Minneapolis mayhem, and it's like the rugby change.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so the name of Gaga's most recent album.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Um it's not related, but maybe it is related.
SPEAKER_04You're telling me a bunch of gay people are on a team and it's not related. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Well, well, I mean it was called that before.
SPEAKER_05Queer mud wrestling. No, but uh, this year is like the fifth year, and it's like I was gonna ask if you wanted to go. It's taking place this year on like a farm in Wisconsin. Oh, great. It's about 45 minutes away. Let's go. Tickets are $20, but yeah, it's like a big event every summer.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. When is it?
SPEAKER_05You can I think it's August 29th.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_04Sick of you guys.
SPEAKER_05I'll have to I'll have to double check. But if you want to see when if you wanted to road trip, it's on a Sunday, I believe.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_05Um record the pod live from Mud Wrestling. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Live from Mud Wrestling. You'll see in front of us.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's like, yeah, queer, queer mud wrestling. Let's go. Takes place every summer. Oh yeah. Yeah, and they're do they're doing it big this year.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. Friend of the pod, Cat texted me and asked if I was going, and I was like, I don't know. Like, it kind of grosses me out a little bit. She was like, She was like, Well, same. Like the thought of like a bunch of people being in the same pool of mud is disgusting to me. She's like, but it's so fun to watch.
SPEAKER_00I was gonna say, I want to spectate, I don't want to be in it. Yeah, I don't want to be in it.
SPEAKER_05And I was like, Can I can you go and just watch? She's like, Yeah. And so her and her girlfriend and a bunch of friends are going. I was like, I could be convinced. Let me see it on my behalf. I said, Let me see if my friend wants to come with that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, we're gonna go.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so Kat is listening to a bit of a chance. You went to a 101, is that the case? Yeah, it was like a one-on-one session.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so it was like a three-hour session yesterday. Oh my god, that shook a lot of session. Uh yeah, it was like basically it was like a practice.
SPEAKER_04Bug crawling. Yeah, I saw that.
SPEAKER_00Um there was a um sorry.
SPEAKER_04He's really a man. Yeah. Whoa.
SPEAKER_05Like, I don't even know you. Rugby changed you.
SPEAKER_00I'm a man now, you guys. Yeah. Yeah, talking to your chad.
SPEAKER_05Talk in your straight voice. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, oh yeah. So I like to think that all three goes Chad.
SPEAKER_05Chad. Yeah. Here's And I won't continue in Chad. Your straight voice is jarring. It's jarring.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, literally. Okay, so now that you've proved that you you are a man, what what happened with rugby?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so I was at rugby and just like had such a good time. It was been, it's been probably since high school that I've been in like a team sport kind of actually middle.
SPEAKER_04I was gonna say, did you even do so? Is it all gay men? I love that.
SPEAKER_00And and trans men and like plus. It is, it's a queer league. It's a queer rugby. It is queer rugby. There was something just like so awesome about being in that space that not only were the the the objective of that practice session was teaching the rules of rugby. So there's like a kicking station, a passing station, offense and defense. I mean, I didn't know anything basically 24 hours ago. So like now I know some. Um, but it was cool because the session was also to like teach you the skills, but also teach you the rules of rugby. Plus, it was just like a really, really open environment, like super body positive as well, and also like understanding that some folks that were coming to the session yesterday are like not athletic, so they were like at every I think it was maybe in like five to ten minute spurts, we would like practice and then like take a water break. So it was like very like conscientious of like also it was hot outside, yeah, inclusive.
SPEAKER_04It was hot as hell yesterday.
SPEAKER_00It was hot as hell, and it was not a shady field that we were in, so um, but it was such a blast, and it like felt so welcoming, and just everyone there was um just like trying to have a good time. And the thing that I'm like always worried about with sports is people who are being like too competitive, the ones who are like taking it like too seriously, the gym class kids, the gym class kids, yeah. The gym class stars, yeah. And I like didn't get that vibe from at least the like small group of people I was with yesterday, so like I have a really good idea of like what at least that group feels like. I feel like there are some people on there that are like we're here to win and only win. Oh, there's always going to be those people, yeah, exactly. And I think once I sniff them out, I'll maybe ignore them. But it was overall an awesome experience, like just like getting active, and now my whole body hurts because of course I haven't like I haven't like done a true workout in a while. And so it was honey, this is a safe space.
SPEAKER_04This is a safe space.
SPEAKER_00Um so yeah, excuse me.
SPEAKER_04I'm curious like how the contrast of that experience is as somebody also I'm realizing I'm wearing like like windbreaker pants, probably not the best. But um how was the contrast of like that experience and like a group of queer people to do like a group sport with like being in group sports as like a closeted gay boy where like in the early 2000s? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05In like a hyper masculine. You were a hockey player, weren't you?
SPEAKER_04I was a hockey player, hyper masculine, early 2000s. They it was curious about like the contrast of that for you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, actually, I was thinking about that yesterday.
SPEAKER_04Like part of it was juxtaposition, if you will.
SPEAKER_00Some of it was healing in a sense, that like we had a little scrimmage at the end, and I just loved that. I was here to play the sport. I didn't have to worry about like being looked at a certain way or like being judged for not being the most athletic. There were so many things that just made it very accessible and also just fun to be there. Like it made sport fun for the first time. And I like hell fucking yeah. And I remember I was walking back to my car and it reminded me of this moment that happened after my last soccer game that I ever played when I was um football. No, it was uh oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04It's the World Cup.
SPEAKER_00It's the World Cup, you're right. I do mean football. Yeah, I have no idea. Who are you rooting for? Not England.
SPEAKER_05Well, they're out. I don't know who's playing. It's well, this is huge. What is it? Spain versus Argentina. Well, I'm obviously rooting for Argentina, or otherwise I'd be shot at work.
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_04I was rooting for Spain.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_04So basically playing football soccer. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Playing football soccer, right? So uh after after yesterday's practice, like going back to the my car, it like felt like this same moment I had when I had like after my last soccer game. Ever played and just like felt so good about the experience. And it was yeah, there were just so many things about it yesterday that just felt so good.
SPEAKER_04So you're gonna go back. Like, what's the next step here?
SPEAKER_00I think I will. They have practices twice a week. I think one of the days I have classes on it, but um, I think I'll try to show up. And also when um it's also kind of put a bug in me to like go work out some more because now I have this like double mission of like taking care of my own mental health by working out, but also working out to like get stronger for the team, like being able to like perform better at this so you're the gym kid. I'm gonna be the gym kid.
SPEAKER_05A goal to work towards, exactly. It's good to have a goal.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and so it feels it feels great. Um, I'm really I'm really excited to get started. Um, I hope it can work in my schedule. That's the biggest thing. I haven't really matched if it's gonna work yet, but yeah, but I'm thrilled, you guys. I'm obviously a sports kid again.
SPEAKER_04That actually reminds me, like you asked me what I'm excited for in North Carolina, and obviously I'm excited for the PhD, like I said. But I'm gonna have a pool in my apartment, and I'm actually excited to like I mean it'll just be like nice to have a pool because it is hot there, but I'm also like excited to swim and like you love to swim. I love to swim.
SPEAKER_00Is it a lap pool?
SPEAKER_04Uh it's not a lap pool, but I could do like little laps and I could like swim around and stuff. And like I love to swim, and it's a great way to exercise your body. And like I have a lot of body pain, and swimming is a very gentle way to get the same benefit on your body. Like my knees are my knees are real fucked up. But swimming is a great way to get that. So we're gonna do that. That we come there. We're in our we're in a place of sport. Yeah. We're in a place of athleticism.
SPEAKER_00Holly, what's your what's your athleticism story?
SPEAKER_04When are you gonna get swole? Yeah, what's going on? What was the last time you went in the gym? Hey, here's a conf Hey, here's a confession. Never getting swole.
SPEAKER_05Nick's outburst hit me a little. I had a bit of a delayed reaction to Nick's outburst just then.
SPEAKER_00How much protein did you take today?
SPEAKER_05And I just had to laugh. I think I've had probably zero grams of protein today. In my life. Yeah. Um no, I actually have probably had zero grams of protein.
SPEAKER_01Peanut butter.
SPEAKER_05Oh, you're right.
SPEAKER_04It's true. You're right. Big of mamas. I'm always looking out for you so you can get nice and big.
SPEAKER_05So I can get nice and big. Swole, please. Melissa wants me to be nice and big.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I want her to be a muscle daddy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Muscle mommy, come on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. No.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_03I said what I meant. Yeah. So how about that? How about that? What was your confession? Oh, my confession. We're really digressing.
SPEAKER_00We had our confessions already.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no. No, but I think it makes the best episodes which are really digressing.
SPEAKER_05Um, no, my confession was that my my what was really in for me for 2026 was exercise. I've I've intentionally worked out maybe twice. Right. The whole year.
SPEAKER_00So that's gonna be a fun project for us at the end of this year when we're gonna uh the homework repository re-listen to that episode and then like record an episode after, yeah.
SPEAKER_05My thousand yards stare when I think about what I you're a soldier at war. Yeah, what I said was in versus out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I love that for us. You know, sometimes I don't know where my where my brain is gonna take me. And how could she throughout the year and how could I?
SPEAKER_00You can never know. Right.
SPEAKER_05So sorry, okay, has exercise been big for me this year? No, it certainly hasn't. No, it certainly hasn't.
SPEAKER_04I mean, watch me go in the pool once. Right.
SPEAKER_00It'll be twice. I'll be there.
SPEAKER_05It's fun to have a lofty goal and then do nothing to achieve it, and then think, whatever. Well, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Well, I say that to every one of the books on my shelf at home.
SPEAKER_04So I really lately have been into the idea of doing beaded embroidery, like learning how to do it.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, let's go.
SPEAKER_04Me too. And like I do feel I'll probably like buy a kit. Never do it.
SPEAKER_05Honey, I went my kit's in my buy, has been in my buy later on Amazon. Do you want to know why? I had this whole, this was before um, before I got the new job when I was really in a low place of like. God, we haven't even talked about that. What am I doing with my fucking life? Nothing. I don't have hobbies, I don't have anything going on. I was in a real place of I'm gonna learn beaded embroidery and I'm going to sell my creations next year at Art of World.
SPEAKER_06Ooh.
SPEAKER_05That that was kind of that. Well, yes, but now that's not happening because I, you know, I have a new job that has given me um reason to live, dare I say.
SPEAKER_06That's right, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Dare I say? And now I don't really have that much free time. Not as much as I once had when I was working overnight in remote where I had nothing but free time.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Sorry, what? No, I was just gonna say it's kind of funny because we're sitting here talking, and I'm like, Nick actually is like a bitch who does stuff.
SPEAKER_00Oh, but I'm like a bitch who does too many things. You do too many things. I have the opposite problem.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but like you make those little crochet things. I do all the fucking time. You do the puzzling. Like you went to the rugby thing. Like I would sign up for the rugby thing and not go.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I panicked before I went, but right.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but like I'm impressed. You're you're Holly and I have the embroidery kits in our in our closets. Right. But you're doing it.
SPEAKER_05You know what? Yeah, I don't know if I've introduced this concept to the pod yet, but I have this sort of thing. Like as a mentally ill woman, I there's like a specific type of person that I can only describe as a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I am not a girl who does it. I've never been, I never will be, probably. You're a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_00Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You're a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_00Huh. Sometimes I feel like I'm a girl who doesn't.
SPEAKER_05So well, you're no, you're a girl who doesn't. I think you're a girl who does it. Like you walk past a queer rugby booth at Pride and said, Let me check that out. And you actually did check it out. Also, Pride was like, that was like a month ago. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04It was, yeah.
SPEAKER_05And you went and you had a lot of things.
SPEAKER_04It's been four weeks and you still did it. Like that's crazy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I put it on my calendar.
SPEAKER_05And and let me and let me let me just describe a girl who doesn't, which is me. I would maybe walk past something like that and be like, oh, that seems really cool. And then I'd go home and kind of research it and like really obsess over it.
SPEAKER_04You know everything there is to know.
SPEAKER_05I know, I know every single detail there is to know about it, and then I will convince myself not to do it. And then I won't. And then the next thing will come along where I'll do that exact same thing. Yeah. I'm just not a girl who does it. You're a girl who does it. My younger sister, I often describe as a girl who does it. She lives her uh life in 15-minute planned increments of like from this time to this time, I'm gonna go get coffee. And oh, three people wanted to hang out today? Okay, I'll make time for all of them. I'll go get happy hour with so-and-so from 5 30 to 6 15, and then from 6 20 to um 7.30, I'll go and get um an app with so and so. And then after that, then I'll get a nightcap with so-and-so, and then I'll go home, and then I'll get ready for bed from this time to this time, and then whatever, and then tomorrow I'll do da da da. Like she's just a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit.
SPEAKER_04Anything she wants to do, she'll do it.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit.
SPEAKER_04Am I a girl who does it? I feel like I'm like 75% a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_05Okay, um, I would say I would say you I'm really unique. You're like a hybrid. You're kind of a hybrid.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm not like other girls.
SPEAKER_05You're kind of a hybrid, I would say, because like you understand the mental illness of a girl who doesn't do it.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And sometimes you're a girl who doesn't do it, but sometimes you are a girl who does it. Yeah. Because you're like highly organized and like a real planner. Yeah. And very type A.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Because there is like a type A quality to girls who do it.
SPEAKER_00You know?
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_00I do think you're more of a girl who does it rather than a girl who doesn't.
SPEAKER_04But I don't think I'm like a hundred percent either way. Right. I mean, I think all of us, it's much like the Sex of the City girls. We're all a little bit of each of them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But but I would I would say, I guess for this specific like archetype of person that I'm describing, I would actually say, Melissa, and this is no insult, nothing. I would say you're more of a girl who doesn't. Yeah. Because I'm more thinking of like when I think of a girl who does it, it sort of is like, I don't know, I don't like being overbooked. Right. And there is like an overbookedness kind of quality. Which is what Nick is.
SPEAKER_00But I don't think I enjoy it. That's the other thing.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_01That's not a part of the criteria though.
SPEAKER_00No, you're right. No, you're right.
SPEAKER_04You're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna do it.
SPEAKER_05You're gonna make time, you're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You know?
SPEAKER_00I mean, as soon as you were like describing, like, oh, I'm gonna go get lunch with this person here, I'm gonna do coffee here, like that is me and has been me ever since I got back to Minneapolis.
SPEAKER_04I'll do that, but I will do one a day. Like, I would never do multiple.
SPEAKER_00I do multiple a day.
SPEAKER_05To be a girl who does it, in my opinion, it isn't necessarily about like being ambitious. Because Melissa, I would describe you as very ambitious. Yes. But I would say that you're not necessarily a girl who does it. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Like a girl who does it to me, especially when I'm thinking about like actually. I'm a girl who tries. Right. Yes. Yes. I'm not gonna do. Definitely. But like when I'm thinking about an actual like girl as in like female woman, um, it's very like Rachel. Yes, you know, it's very like Stanley Cup filled, drinking 60 ounces of water a day, wearing her matching aloe set and going to her uh like hot Pilates class.
SPEAKER_00Literally, Rachel.
SPEAKER_05Yes, Rachel, Rachel is so a girl who does it. Yes, Reagan, my sister, is so a girl who does it. And Nicklaus, Nick, you're so a girl who does it.
SPEAKER_00You're just like the gay guy version.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah. Yeah, you're the gay guy version.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_05And yeah, it's just about being like, I don't know, someone who just doesn't really say no to things. You fill your days with stuff, you have an interest, you're gonna pursue it and just go do it. That's one of the things I love about you. It's very like um, you know, my beaded embroidery plan.
SPEAKER_04Yes. What if we make a business together? And that's how we come back together. Beaded business. Right. The beaded business.
SPEAKER_05That that's sort of like a a thing that I obsessed over for like two months. Right. And I'll probably never do it.
SPEAKER_04What if we make merch? Right. Beaded embroidery merch. I mean, I did for like I do want merch of iPod.
SPEAKER_00Oh, and we will get we'll get some and it'll be.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna make it like tonight.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. The second I pursue like a it's like when people tell me I should like do party planning and balloons and whatever, I'm like, no. I do it for fun because I love it and it makes me happy. And I like to do it for my friends. The second I start doing that as like a business, no, absolutely. It wouldn't, it would make me hate it. That's what happened with doing hair. That's what happened like when I was really into like baking and stuff. Like, I don't want to um make businesses out of my like creative passions, those are just for me and they're fun. And the second something becomes a job, I reject it and don't want anything to do with it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I mean, that's been like the hardest thing when I started doing proofreading for a job. I was like, it did make it made reading like additionally hard. Like it was already difficult for me to pick up a book, but it just made an additional barrier because I was like, hey, I've already been sitting and reading a book for like six hours today, and I did not enjoy like much of that six hours because I was like doing work.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so yeah, so I understand, like fully understand that.
SPEAKER_04I do think we need to just post, just because people need to see it. We should post um the eye of Sauron balloons you did for Anna's Bachelorette. Oh, those were because like those were truly amazing, and you had no clue what you were making and still killed it.
SPEAKER_05Okay, you know what though? I'm like, did I was I even the one who like assembled those?
SPEAKER_04You and Rachel assembled them together. You got done with it and you looked at me and you said, What did I make? Oh, well. And you did make it, right? And it was amazing, but we need to post that in the care of this. And here's I've shown it to so many people.
SPEAKER_05And here's where the self-criticism comes in, because I'm like, that looked like shit and I hated it.
SPEAKER_00Gary bitch.
SPEAKER_04It was literally I when I have shown up to so many people, and everyone's like, How do I get that? Like, how do I get that? Hit me up.
SPEAKER_06You know, great.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, it's been a real life is always happening kind of weird. It does always happen. Yeah, that's why I'm yawning.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Oh, oh, and you know what?
SPEAKER_05And you know what? I don't think it's rude to yawn.
SPEAKER_04I also don't think it's rude to yawn.
SPEAKER_00It's not.
SPEAKER_04I think I really struggle with it.
SPEAKER_00I think the only time it's rude is when it's like some people are chatting and you're like, Yeah, when somebody's like making a show up.
SPEAKER_05If it's a performative yawn, then of course, but like just generally yawning, you can't really control that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_05I always yawner.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you are, yeah.
SPEAKER_05Me too.
SPEAKER_00But not in like a He said, Yeah, you are.
SPEAKER_04Oh, so you think I'm fucking rude.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so you think I'm sleeping all the time?
SPEAKER_04I actually do worry about that like clinically, though.
SPEAKER_00Oh, what do you mean?
SPEAKER_04Because like you're really not like somebody's like, and then I was suicidal and you yawn, like that's really bad.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, what I was just about to say, I tell my therapist all the time it's okay to yawn. Because sometimes I can tell I'm like talking about something.
SPEAKER_00Is the eating the yawn? I do that all the time.
SPEAKER_05He's like, no, they like train that shit out of you. He's suppressing a yawn, and I I'll stop mid-sentence. I'll be like, You can yawn right now, like it's fine. And he always laughs. He's like, No, no, no, no, no. I'm just like, you're probably tired. You have to listen to people talk at you all day long. It's so small people.
SPEAKER_00It is really hard. No, Mike, like skills counselor, he was like, Go ahead and yawn. Really? Yeah, but he was like, but make sure that you like talk about it. Like if it creates if you sense that it creates a rupture, like attack that and talk about it. Like, yeah. But he basically, I mean, he's very much like be authentic in the therapy space, and that's like his approach.
SPEAKER_04That's really good. But it's like it's so because it's like I am, I'm not yawning at what you're saying.
SPEAKER_00No, right, exactly. I was like, I'm I'm just tired. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04That's so funny.
SPEAKER_05You two sad you two keep yawning because we're talking about it. You sound like my therapist. And what really makes him laugh, because you know, of course, I'm not I'm the type of person that really takes pride in making my therapist laugh, which of course is why I'm in therapy.
SPEAKER_00Exactly.
SPEAKER_05Because I'm love to be a jester. You're like, yeah, give me that power. Yeah. Well, anyway, I always tell him I'm like, this is a safe space to yawn. He thinks that's funny. Because it kind of is.
SPEAKER_00It's hilarious.
SPEAKER_04But I had my last therapy session on Friday with like my therapist, like my ultimate therapy session.
SPEAKER_00Your termination session. Oh, how'd it go?
SPEAKER_04It went well, but it was just like crazy. I'd come in, like, drenched and sweat humiliating, but like, you know what? I did giggle and laugh. I'd come in drenched in sweat. It was like 90 degrees outside, and I had one of those things where like I had booked my nails before, and then I thought it was gonna take longer, but she kind of like sped through them, which is like great. I guess because I got my nails kind of shorter in one color, so I kind of didn't think about that. They're fire and listener, I am wearing Lincoln Park after dark, my signature color. Show the camera. Show the camera. My signature color, thank you, and the color that I need to be living Minnesota with. Um but then I had like some extra time, so like got a coffee. I still had extra time, and there's a partner across the street. And anyone who knows me knows I've been listening to Olivia Rodrigo's album, literally non-stop, and she's on a swing, like kicking back. Um it sounds like I'm saying kicking back like a kickback, but like she's literally like on her back kicking. Yes, on the cover. And so I was like, I wonder if I could recreate that in this time. So then I videoed myself for a long time like swinging to get that, and I did. Um, but it is literally like I actually was like hoffing and puffing because like you have to use your abs to swing and like to get really high so you could kick back and like laugh. Yeah, and it was so fucking hot out and it was in the sun. So then I like got to my therapist for the termination session, and I'm just like I smell bad to be honest. I'm drenched in sweat, and she's like, Hey, nice working with you. Hey mama, like it was you know, it was a thing that I did, right? But I like was taking videos of myself and I was giggling on the swings because it was just so silly. But like honestly, swinging is really fun. We should be doing it more. Yeah, it's so much fun. I was the I was all by myself, just giggling, having a great time swinging, sweating.
SPEAKER_00It was so cute. I remember seeing that picture and being like, Where did you get this picture? Like it was from videoing myself. It's amazing, it's so cute.
SPEAKER_04Uh I was having a great a great little time. Um, and then yeah, I ended things with my therapist not for any bad reason. She's wonderful, but due to another state, she tried, she was gonna try to get licensure in North Carolina, but she said it was really tricky, and so she wasn't able to. Yeah. Um yeah, it's interesting, like master's level therapists can get licensure in other states, but it can be like expensive and hard.
SPEAKER_00And then you have to like maintain that licensure.
SPEAKER_04Like you have to pay one like flat fee for it, but I think you can like get licensed in most states.
SPEAKER_00Because yeah, because there's like a larger coalition, like coalition consortium, whatever. Yeah, whatever they're called.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, and what and what's the difference between the two? Like a master's level therapist and a psychologist.
SPEAKER_04Psychologist has a doctorate. Uh so Nick will be a therapist unless he becomes a psychologist, and I will be a psychologist.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, which I I have considered becoming a psychologist, but I'm also like, that is I still have one more year to finish now, and that's an additional four years. And I'm already so deeply in debt that it is terrible.
SPEAKER_04You could always do it in the future.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it can always be.
SPEAKER_05And you are ultimately a girl who does it. I am a girl who does it. So you might still do it. I might still do it. Listeners, listeners, for those of you who don't know, this is Nick's second masters. So and he tried to start another master's mid-masters. I don't even know if I could do a PhD because I'm just busy doing my second masters.
SPEAKER_00But I did start that panautology master's.
SPEAKER_04You started a master's mid-Finland Masters.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, because I said, Whoa, I can do it.
SPEAKER_04I told him it was kind of a tough idea, and then he did it anyway.
SPEAKER_00Hey, it was a great semester. Oh God, fuck, I am a girl who does it. Of course, such a girl who does it. Wow.
SPEAKER_04I feel like it would be fun for you to be a psychologist so that we could have the same licensure, and then we could just have a cute little practice together. Oh my god. And then you two could take care of me, your loser friends, you can be our manager, and we'll just pay you like an extreme sum of money.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, you're gonna pay me 120k to schedule appointments. Exactly.
SPEAKER_00That'd be a great job. You could probably play heyday.
SPEAKER_05You can play heyday. I'll be on my iPad.
SPEAKER_04I'll be like, There's a ring around your mouth of red. You know, sticky. Hi, welcome to the therapy offices.
SPEAKER_05No, you know what I'm envisioning? You know that? Um you know that family guy episode where Peter's like a receptionist and he has really long nails. He's like really long nails? He's like on the phone.
SPEAKER_04He's wearing what's the color red that you were talking about?
SPEAKER_05Um Ferrari red.
SPEAKER_04He's wearing Ferrari red on his nails.
SPEAKER_05And he has like a ponytail. That'll be me, like chewing gum with my long nails.
SPEAKER_03Welcome to the offices of Nicomella. Hi.
SPEAKER_05No. And everything you say kind of ends in mmm, like Trisha Paytas. Yeah. Hi. Do you have an appointment?
SPEAKER_04So it's settled then. You're getting a doctorate, so we can have this future. Yeah. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.
SPEAKER_05And you know what? The patients will love me.
SPEAKER_04The patients will love you. I'm mentally ill. I walk and I see a bitch with long ass nails clacking away. I know I'm gonna save space.
SPEAKER_05No, literally. Literally, that was like um the person who drew my blood last. I don't do well during like blood draws.
SPEAKER_00Was that a phlebotomist? Is that the one?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_05Oh, but she was a real diva and she recognized the diva in me. I always have to look away.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And she was like, I was like, I'm gonna look away. I am okay, but I can't watch or I will pass out. She was like, okay. She was like, She's like, so what are you gonna do after this? She had super long nails, super crazy lash extensions.
SPEAKER_04It was crazy to be able to draw with long nails.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, she had long nails, lash extensions with rhinestones on them, and like color. Diva alert, diva alert, diva alert, gorgeous body wave extensions. She was like, What are you gonna do after this? Because I'm like looking away. I was like, I think I'm gonna get Starbucks. I always get Starbucks after I have to get my blood drawn because it sucks. And she's like, Oh my gosh, what's your favorite drink? And she's like, You want to know my favorite drink? I said, Yeah. She said, venti cup, line it with caramel drizzle, extra caramel drizzle drizzle. And she was like, I like uh, and she said something so crazy for her coffee order. It was like a mocha crunch cookie frappuccino, something that ultimately thousands of grams of sugar.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, ultimately is like a morning milkshake. Something that would get have me on the floor in my bathroom and not with.
SPEAKER_00I'm shaking, I'd get diabetes from it.
SPEAKER_05And she was like, So that's my Starbucks drink. And I said, That sounds so good. I love her.
SPEAKER_04I'm sure it tastes amazing. I know.
SPEAKER_05She was like, All right, you're all done. I said, Wow, that was so fast. She said, Yeah. She said, You got veins, girl. I said, I hear that a lot. Thanks for noticing. Thanks for noticing.
SPEAKER_04Jared also hates a blood draw. And so they've started laying him back. And he's had two really good blood draws lately. And the the women are like talking to him, asking him. They always ask him about sports, which is funny because they're like a man, and then Jared will be like, What? Yeah. Like one of them was like, What do you think about the World Cup? And he was like, Is it still happening? I don't. Yeah. I was like, you need to bring up Love Island, babes. You're reading him incorrectly.
SPEAKER_02You're reading him as a straightway.
SPEAKER_05Betty Japer, I don't think of you at all.
SPEAKER_04Literally. Yeah. Literally. Yeah. So before confessions, want to shout out a special fan, Sam.
SPEAKER_02And I want to shout out Julia, you two, and your upcoming nuptials. So thank you for being a loyal fan. We love you. You're beautiful. Congratulations. Congrats, Mamas.
SPEAKER_04Can't wait to attend your lovely wedding. I won't be there, but I will be thinking of you, and I'm sure I'll be getting photos from Holly and Radha.
SPEAKER_05The spirit of Melissa will be it'll be there. In in the in the backyard. I believe it's a it's a yard wedding. So stunning.
SPEAKER_04God, I love weddings.
SPEAKER_05Same.
SPEAKER_04I love weddings. But they didn't know. They didn't know.
SPEAKER_05Well, now that song can just be a beautiful Lana Del Rey song. Do you know what we're talking about?
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_04I was like, I'm not telling you. So that song is Lana Del Rey writing about Margaret Qually and Jack Antinoff. When you know you know.
SPEAKER_00And I know that song.
SPEAKER_04And Jack the Arm and Goose Bimple. They are they are getting a divorce. Yes. So I guess you don't know.
SPEAKER_05Well, Jack is like kind of notoriously difficult to be partnered to. Yep. Because he sort of sucks. But that song is so beautiful. It's a really beautiful song.
SPEAKER_03She was wearing white. So good. And now she's been wearing ballet flats since she's been with him.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, due to him short.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, him short, her tall, tall, gorgeous ballerina.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. No, she's a little bit more than a little bit. She's having a shrink herself.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But Sam, you know, and you know.
SPEAKER_00She said to bring it back. Okay, confessions. Usually it's like kind of inappropriate, kind of appropriate for today's session. I said fuck everyone. Exactly.
SPEAKER_05You said, wow, Nick. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay, but basically.
SPEAKER_05You're about to say Yes.
SPEAKER_00No, mine is basic. Um uh I don't know when I wrote this note, but it just says saying football for soccer just makes sense.
SPEAKER_02Well, yeah. Like it just makes sense.
SPEAKER_04Just like me doing it.
SPEAKER_00Exactly. Yeah. What I was like, it's just perfect. And I love that it was in here already when you said that. So and I stand by it. I think we should call it football.
SPEAKER_04Because it is played with your foot. I don't understand why football here is called that. You don't play it with your foot. I mean, yes, you kick it, I think.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I think there was something.
SPEAKER_04There's a kicker on the TV.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, jujilit, jujilit, jujill it's a little bit.
SPEAKER_05Why is American football called that?
SPEAKER_00American football. Because I'm I remember hearing this a while ago that like football used to be um a term that was for like any sport that was played on a like on a field of grass. And so I think that's kind of where it historically came from. But also I think I read that from an Instagram post, so it's obviously it's hard to know. It's 102% correct.
SPEAKER_05Is Nick right? Football is called football because the sport evolved directly from English, quote, rugby football and quote association football soccer in the 19th century. And you know what I was gonna say when you were talking about rugby was like, isn't it essentially like a mix between American football and like British European soccer football?
SPEAKER_00Except it's much faster. Yeah, because it just keeps going, you don't stop anything unless somebody dies.
SPEAKER_04I just realized this whole time I've been thinking that you were talking about cricket because I was like, Because I was like the thing they do, I said the thing they do in Australia and India. No, no, I do think they play rugby in Australia. I think they do. Certainly. Like I feel like cricket is quite big in Australia and India. Well, it is.
SPEAKER_05Well, here's the thing the term originally distinguished games played on foot from those played on horseback.
SPEAKER_00Horseback.
SPEAKER_05That's why the game evolved into its own unique code. That's crazy. Yeah, yeah. So some people were like on the grass and some people were on horses. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00So that's why it was called American football was like the first full term. Yeah. Yeah. You're on your feet playing ball. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Simple as that, honey. That's true. America, we're all about simplicity and convenience.
SPEAKER_00Well, that's my confession.
SPEAKER_05Love it. I loved it. That was very relevant. It was.
SPEAKER_00It was, yeah. I kind of know it. I didn't even know it. And it was the most recent. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Love it.
SPEAKER_05We both do that in here in a second. Can I get a way ho? One, two, three, way-ho! Confession. Yeah. I did think of um earlier, because of course I love to come to this pod with Nary a confession. Is that the correct use of the word narry? I don't think so. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I don't know. I don't know how to use it.
SPEAKER_05I'm the pod dumbass, so if it's wrong, it's wrong, honey. My confession is that earlier you said the word bibliography, and I thought to myself, I have not heard that word since probably senior year of high school. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Because why would you say you don't need to know? Well, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Well, because I'm stupid. That's it.
SPEAKER_03No, just because that's what we were saying. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00When was the last time you've had to create a bibliography?
SPEAKER_05You also said a word that I thought, don't think I've heard that word since high school.
SPEAKER_00Do you remember what it was?
SPEAKER_05Scrimmage. I don't think I've heard the word scrimmage.
SPEAKER_00Well, we're not the sports people. We again don't need to know that word.
SPEAKER_05So scrimmage and bibliography are two words that I was reminded of today.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and copetic.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. That's my confession.
SPEAKER_04I love that. That's great. Melissa.
SPEAKER_00Melissa.
SPEAKER_04My confession is that I'm gonna miss you guys.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_04And I love you guys, and I'm gonna miss potting in real life with you. And it's gonna be hard because I'm gonna miss you.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Kiss me through the phone. Bang, you know that I miss you.
SPEAKER_05I wanna get with June, but I can a baby girl in a Z.
SPEAKER_04That's gonna be me every week when I'm AI creating images of us together. Yes. Of course. Trying to kiss you guys on Zoom.
SPEAKER_00I wish you said to all the can we travel to all the national parks in your AI journey? Yeah, yeah. Obviously.
SPEAKER_05I really wish that we hadn't taken such a strong stance on generative AI because I would love to just abuse AI for like 30 minutes to make some crazy images of us.
SPEAKER_01I want to make some crazy shit just for one time.
SPEAKER_00But then I'm gonna have to like go without fresh water for like a week. I know.
SPEAKER_04We're draining the Great Lakes just to get a silly picture. It's not worth it, but yeah, in spirit, I will be AI generating images of us all together. I'm gonna miss you guys. Even though I'll see you every week on the internet. But I'm gonna miss this. So I love you guys.
SPEAKER_00Loving you, and I love this pod.
SPEAKER_02Say we have the best time with you girls.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, me too. I love you guys.
SPEAKER_02Love you. I love you, listeners. Yes.
SPEAKER_00So does this mean this is the end of season one?
SPEAKER_02Should it be?
SPEAKER_00I don't know. Seems like a very natural conclusion.
SPEAKER_05It kind of does. Yeah, because we probably won't record the pod again for like a couple weeks.
SPEAKER_00That's true.
SPEAKER_05Maybe this is like the end of season one and we're going on our summer break.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. See them in what August? Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_05Real-time decision. Full body chills. Do I even need to say it?
SPEAKER_00I just feel like our pod should just be called full body chills. It really is.
SPEAKER_05There actually is a podcast called that.
SPEAKER_04And I can do it. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_00So you said can't do it. Oh.
SPEAKER_04I I love this for us. So we'll see you guys in the new season. First season two. With a new cover.
SPEAKER_00That's right. So that's a wrap.
SPEAKER_05And you guys aren't ready. We did reference the armpit photo. You listeners, you don't even know what that is yet. And you're not ready. I'll tell you that. You're not ready.
SPEAKER_04If you're part of our Patreon, you've seen the photo though. And I'll just say go to the Patreon. Yeah. Because currently we only have two Patreon subscribers.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_04Besides the three of us.
SPEAKER_00Well, I was like, I don't know if I'm I subscribing.
SPEAKER_04Well, you weren't, and then I text you and said, why aren't you subscribed to our Patreon?
SPEAKER_00That's right. You did believe into it.
SPEAKER_04Because I'm the one managing the Patreon.
SPEAKER_00And I also should have been, yeah, I should have been. Whatever.
SPEAKER_04So subscribe to our Patreon and maybe you can get a little sneak preview. Otherwise, we'll see you girls in August.
